He is survived by: his sons, Orvin "Raymond" Cockrell, Sr. of Burgess and Dennis "Dean" Cockrell of Caret, Virginia; his sister Cynthia Faye Braun of Burgess, Virginia; his grandchildren, Orvin Raymond Cockrell, Jr. and William Brandon Cockrell; and his great grandchildren, Ashley Rose Cockrell, William Bryce Cockrell, Brandon Chadwich Cockrell and Robert Chase Cockrell.
