He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Avirett; his daughter Diana Koloc; his son-in-law Joe of Lake Wales; his son John Thomas Avirett Jr. of Bradenton, FL; his siblings, Jane Land of Lake Wales, Sara Pearce of Lake Wales, Mary Alice Avirett of Lake Wales, Ronnie Avirett of Sarasota, FL, James Avirett of Pace, FL and Pat Avirett; and his grandchildren, Kayla Avirett, Jessica Avirett, Joshua Avirett, Gabriel Koloc, Raphael Koloc, Maximus Koloc, Titus Koloc and Quintus Koloc.
