He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan P. Walton and Margaret Lucille Walton (Goff); his wife Maxine Walton (Stinson); his brothers, Alton and Bobby; and his grandson Cody Prochaska.

He is survived by: his children, Kathy Walton Alexander (Shannon) and Tim Walton (Jennifer); and his siblings, Johnny Walton (Bobbie Ruth), Bertha Bonds and Margaret Jarvi. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
