He is survived by: his children, Linda Conte of Brooklyn, Christine Stephan of Brooklyn, Edward Stephan, Jr. (Christine) of Red Bank and Richard Stephan of Brooklyn; his brother Philip Stephan of New Jersey; and also Carolyn Avellaneda. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
