She was predeceased by: her father Carlos Owens; her son Tommy McDowell; and her brothers, Thomas Owens and Charlie Owens. She is survived by: her children, Linda Melvin of Winter Haven, Brenda Avirett (Joe) of Lake Wales, Lisa Allen (Jay) of Lake Wales and Vernon McDowell (Helen) of Lake City. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 19 greatgrandchildren.
