He is survived by: his wife Carol (Michican); his children, Dawn Garand (Jim), Larry Tonjes (Cindy) and Debra Burleigh (Norm); and his grandchildren, Andrew Garand (Allison), Aaron Garand (Amber), Laura Marriott (Scott), Emily Rutkowski (Jeff), Tyson Burleigh, Jamie Garand (Mantha) and Alexxa Stanley (Spencer). He is also survived by six great grandchildren, countess nieces, nephews and in-laws.
