She was predeceased by: her parents, Alejandro Rivas-Plata and Celia Rivas-Plata; and her husband Francisco Vargas. She is survived by: her children, Patricia Vargas (Roberto) of Lake Wales, Florida, Francisco Vargas (Ines) of Coral Springs, Miguel Vargas (Norma) of Bloomfield, Hector Vargas (Flor) of Delray Beach and Juan Vargas (Gloria) of Bloomfield; and her brothers, Alejandro Rivas-Plata (Margarita) of Bayamon, Puerto Rico and Mario Rivas-Plata (Maritza) of Lima, Peru. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
