With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elton Jake Gissendanner II of Lake Placid, Florida, born in Tallahassee, Florida, who passed away on September 1, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Frances Ruark Gissendanner. He is survived by: his children, Julie Rainey, Terri Cantin, Elton "Buddy" Gissendanner III, Christopher Gissendanner and Evie Tilley; and his brothers, Ausley Gissendanner and Clarence Gissendanner. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.
