He was predeceased by: his parents, George S. Briel and Josephine Briel (Ellis); and his daughter Andrea Kristin. He is survived by: his wife Jane M. Briel; his sons, Patrick Kevin (Lisa), Shawn David (Lori) and Jeremy Luke; his granddaughters, Andrea (Matt) and Taylor; his great grandchild Izzabella; his brother Donald E. (Beverly); and his brothers-in-law, David and Craig (Jeanne).
