He is survived by: his parents, May Mattioli and Guy Mattioli of Lake Mary, Florida.; his wife Gina Hawkins Mattioli; his brother Fernando Mattioli; his siblings-in-law, Yvonne Asmer (Pete), Suzette Scaturo and Tom Hawkins (Ann); his nieces and nephews, Christopher Mattioli, Mia, Tara Asmer and Leah Pool; his son August; his child-in-law Ali Myers (Don); and his grandchildren, Aubrey, Alex and Ashton.

“We met Tony at CUB airport in Columbia, SC early last summer. His hanger was #78, across from mine, and we shared the common love of flying gyroplanes. He was eager to join our fledgling SC Rotorcraft club, and we were all looking forward to the day when he would bring his new Silverlight AR1 914 to CUB so we could fly around together. I learned of his misfortune Saturday, 12/12/20 as I prepared fly my own Air Command gyrocopter around CUB. It was a good day to fly, albeit with heavy heart.”
