He was predeceased by: his parents, William Eugene Whitfield, Sr. and Mary Skinner; his wife Susan Whitfield; and his brothers, Steve and Sam Whitfield.
He is survived by: his children, Chrissa Weed (Bill) of Gainesville, FL, Susan "Susie" Sceals (Andy) of Lake City, FL and Elizabeth Angel (Edward) of Jacksonville, FL; his grandsons, Billy Weed of Gainesville, FL, Johnny Weed of Gainesville, FL, Danny Weed of Gainesville, FL and Elijah Angel of Jacksonville, FL; and also, Allen Glover, Anne Glover and Tara Wolfe. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
