With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thelma Faye Holmes of Lake City, Florida, who passed away on February 20, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther McGee and Annie Faye Lockridge McGee; and her siblings, Roy, James, Mitchel McGee, Olivia Grayson and Doris McGee.
She is survived by: her children, Rurmell McGee (Ericka), Goshen Holmes (Pam), Azie Handy (Roy) and Jenile Cavitalo (James); her siblings, Larry McGee, Rodney McGee, Diane Griffin, Donna Holiefield and Rosalinde McGee; her aunt Corrine McQuarter; and her cousin Cheryl Billips. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gateway - Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, Lake City (3596 US-441, Lake City, FL 32025). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery (3596 US-441, Lake City, FL 32025).
