With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peggy Marie King of Lake City, Florida, born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, who passed away on November 9, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Davenport and Mabel Hill Davenport; her former husband Paul Kenimer; her husband Billy King; and her siblings, Norman Davenport, Gene Davenport, Terry Davenport, Murphy Davenport, Louise Balwin and Margaret King.

She is survived by: her children, Charles Davenport (Connie) of Ringold, GA, Kristi Steele (Tony) of Lafayette, GA, Vicky Kenimer of Lake City and Angela Lamb of Lake City; and her brothers, Charles Davenport (Bonnie) of Lake City and Joe Davenport (Bobbi) of Lake City.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home (3596 US-441, Lake City, FL 32025). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel (3596 US-441, Lake City, FL 32025).
