She was predeceased by: her parents, William Alderman and Blanche Perry Alderman; her siblings, Warren Alderman and Betty Bailey; and her brothers-in-law, Arnold Sizemore and Scotty Humphrey.

She is survived by: her husband George Clay, Jr.; her daughters, Debbie Bass (Steve) of Pinetta, FL and Susan Clay (Jennifer) of Winterville, GA; her grandchildren, Christy Adams (David) of Cherry Lake, FL and Clay Bass (Brian) of Valdosta, GA; her great grandchildren, Carter and Daniel Adams; her sisters, Vera Jean Sutton (Wallace) of Morehead City, NC, Margaret Phillips (Roger) of Liverpool, NY and Phyllis Sizemore (late Arnold) of Fairdale, WV; and her sister-in-law Mary Ellen Alderman (late Warren) of Medical Lake, WA.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
