She was predeceased by: her parents, Madison Emanuel Johnson and Isabelle Box Johnson; her siblings, Eugene Pringle, James William Johnson and Rose Marie Clayton; her son John David Spivey; her daughter-in-law Stacy M. Horton; and her grandson Christian J. Shepard.

She is survived by: her husband Henry Harell Horton; and her children, Randall T. Spivey (Teresa) of Georgia, George R. Spivey of Minnesota, Henry H. Horion, Jr. of Lake City, Gregory H. Horton (Tammy) and Regina D. Jones of Lake City. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild.
