He was predeceased by: his father Lewis Ray Townsend, Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Yvonne Townsend of Lake City, Florida; his children, DeLaina Wilson (Darin) of Douglas, Georgia, Lewis Ray Townsend, III (Tammy) of Lake City and Rev. Michael Townsend (Carol Ann) of Live Oak, Florida; and his siblings, Avis Jordan (Earl) of Lake City, Florida, Kenny Townsend (Kathie) of Hatch Bend and Paul Townsend (Teresa) of Lake City, Florida. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Guerry Funeral Home (2659 SW Main Blvd, Lake City, FL 32025). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Live Oak First Assembly of God (13793 76th St, Live Oak, FL 32060). A burial was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at the Live Oak First Assembly Cemetery (13793 76th St, Live Oak, FL 32060).
