He was predeceased by: his mother Cathenia Brown Thompson; and his grandfathers, Hayward Brown Jr. and Goudrich A Williams. He is survived by: his grandparents, Ruby Harris Brown, Lucia A Bennett and Umar Abdullah; his father Duanne C Jordan; his siblings, Vincent E Thompson, James C Jordan and Jaime C Jordan; his great-uncles and great-aunts, Bobby Harris, Willie C Lee, Robert G Jackman, Elsa Greaves and Dorothy Jordan; and his aunts and uncles, AbdulKabeer Abdullah, Dr AbdulKareen Abdullah, Sabeer Abdullah, Malayka Abdullah Genovese and Isa Abdullah. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Sickle Cell Foundation in honor of Josiah's memory.
