In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping John's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Henry and Lillian McCormick DuBose; and his sister Martha Hill. He is survived by: his wife Frances DuBose of Lake City; his daughters, Donna Loadholtz (Dennis) of Sanderson and Lacey DuBose of MacClenny; his stepdaughters, Lisa Hunter (Wesley) of Lake City and Kim Fortner (Jerry) of Live Oak; and his sisters, Lillie Christian of Texas and Grace Conner of Glen St.
A reception was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home (3596 US-441, Lake City, FL 32025).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be considered to the Lake City Humane Society.
