He is survived by: his wife Virginia (Jenny); his children, Allison Buie Thomas (Caleb) and Hugh Alfred Buie III (Trey); his granddaughter Hannah Faith Thomas; and his sisters, Suzanne MacDonald, Barbara Roberts (Bob), Julie Branch (Mike) and Carol Jackson (Jay). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home (3596 US-441, Lake City, FL 32025). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Parkview Baptist Church (268 NW Lake Jeffery Rd, Lake City, FL 32055). A burial was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery (3596 US-441, Lake City, FL 32025).
