She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Thornton and Darlene Thornton. She is survived by: her husband Lionel Anthony Motte, Jr.; her children, Luke, David Kemfert, Daniel Motte (Jo), Melissa Floyd and Stephanie Motte; and her siblings, Frank Thornton (Eileen) and Lisa Peabody. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
