Herman Melvin Moore Obituary
Herman Melvin Moore, age 81, of 385 Northwest Emerald Lakes Drive, Lake City, Florida, passed away Thursday, October 19th, 2017, in the Lake City Haven Hospice Care Center. Born and raised on a farm in Montgomery Co., Maryland. He moved to Florida in 1972. He was a Deacon at Southside Baptist Church and several other churches in Lake City for many years.
He loved serving the Lord with all his heart. He was a dedicated Christian and family man. Herman retired from AT&T after 30 plus years of service. He then worked at Ronsonet Buick in Lake City for several years. He loved to fish any time he could. Deep sea fishing was his favorite. He took all his children and grandchildren fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mrs. Annette Moore, his son Jeff Moore, his daughter Candace Long, and his son Sean Moore, He is survived by nine beloved grandchildren and eight adored great grandchildren. His graciousness, charity, and kindness are a legacy known to his entire family. The Memorial services for Herman Moore will be held at the High Point Community Church, 84 Knight Boxx Rd, in Orange Park, Florida, 32065 at 2:00 in the afternoon.
The services will be performed by Herman Moore's dearest and most beloved friend Brother Herman Hampton from Georgia.
