He was predeceased by: his parents, Hammond Donald Caldwell and Elsie Boland Caldwell. He is survived by: his wife Muriel Ann Monroe; his children, Clifford Caldwell and Kathryn Caldwell (Chris Watts); his grandson Lucas; and his sister Elsie Fields.
He worked in several different fields before retiring in 2008 after a successful fundraising career for the General Board of Global Ministries of the Methodist Church, and the Florida United Methodist Foundation.
