He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Tharpe and Abbie McMullen Tharpe; and his wife Jane Tharpe. He is survived by: his children, Edwin A. "Andy" Tharpe (Betty) of Virginia Beach, VA and Robin Cooper of Biloxi, MS; and his brother Joe Tharpe of Dothan, AL. He is also survived by three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Gateway Forest Lawn Funeral Chapel (3596 US-441, Lake City, FL 32025). A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM and at 11:00 AM.
