He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Varnes and Mattie Clemons Varnes. He is survived by: his children, Teresa Little (Greg) of Lake City, Linda Hammons of Lake City and Isaac Varnes (Karen) of McAlphin, FL; his brother Clyde Varnes of Lake City; his niece Joni Parker; and his close friends, Sidney Keen and Pete Carroll. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and multiple great-grandchildren.
