He was predeceased by: his parents, Carnice Thurman and Odell Hall Odell; his stepmother Bea Thurman; and his brother Pete Thurman. He is survived by: his wife Jane T. Thurman; his children, Kathy Roudabush, Chris Thurman and April Kelly; and his brothers, Gerald and Tommy Thurman of Martinsville, Virginia. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
