It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlie Newton Long of Lake Alfred, Florida, born in Glennville, Georgia, who passed away on October 7, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie N. Long and Lilla Kate Long (Branch); his wife Edna Grace Jordan of Homerville, GA; and his siblings, Margaret Barlow, Ina Faye Schultz, Ann Harris and Richard Long.
He is survived by: his children, Charlie N. Long III (Julie) of Elizabethton, TN, Judith Brown (Howard) of Lakeland, FL and K. Chris Long (Michelle) of Winter Haven, FL.; and his siblings, Johnny Long (Annette) of Franklin, NC, Timothy Long (Pam) of Ocala, FL, Peggy Kirkland (James) of Franklin, NC, Gaynell Locke (Larry) of Davenport, FL and Linda Casto (Larry) of Woodburn, OR.. He is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
