She was predeceased by: her parents, Armando Resendez and Mercedes Alvarez Resendez. She is survived by: her husband Guadalupe Cortez; and her children, Ruben Cortez, Samuel Cortez, Saul Cortez, Guadalupe Cortez Jr. and Hector Cortez. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren.
