She was predeceased by: her parents, James William and Margaret "Sparks" Ray; her husband Carl Carter; and her siblings, Norma Magee and William Ray.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Robinson (Randy), Bobby Carter, Carla Orth, Lisa Seymour (David), Carl Carter II and Teresa Reid. She is also survived by grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or to Breast Cancer Awareness or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
