She was predeceased by: her parents, Luciene Smith and Betty Bethune (Card); her daughter Reonna Thompson; and her siblings, Wilburn Smith and Peggy Lara.
She is survived by: her children, James William Young and Keisha Michelle Young; and her siblings, Brenda Rabbitt, Birttie Carter and Charles Bruce Smith. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
