He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Britt and Pauline Britt; his nephew James C Lewis; and his brother-in-law Wendel Gaffney. He is survived by: his wife Doctor Lounette Richardson Britt; his children, Sherry Smith, Ray Richardson and Donna Drawdy; and his sibling Veron McCormick.
