He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Britt and Pauline Britt; his nephew James C Lewis; and his brother-in-law Wendel Gaffney. He is survived by: his wife Doctor Lounette Richardson Britt; his children, Sherry Smith, Ray Richardson and Donna Drawdy; and his siblings, Veron McCormick (JD), Lela M. Grier (Ollie), Reverend William W. Britt (Barbara), John H Britt, Norma Sue Britt, Danny Deuell and Sandra G. Lekarczyk (Dave). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
