He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold F Thompson and Shirley Huff Thompson; his wife Florence Menard Thompson; and his brother Harold "Thommy" Thompson Jr. of Ocala, Florida.. He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Turner (Drew), Douglas Thompson Jr. (Betty) and Rachel Patten (Sean); and his grandchildren, Andrew, Adam, Chelsea, Zachary, Aaron, Austyn, Christopher and Alexander.
