She was predeceased by: her parents, Rupert Whitehead and Mary Whitehead; her brother Crispin Whitehead; her aunts, Naomi Harrison and Sarah Baker; her uncle William Carey, II; and her brothers-in-law, Alexander Pla and Franklin Gallagher.
She is survived by: her husband George of Washington; her daughters, Chelsea Johnson (Kenneth) and Tameka Wyatt (Wallace); her stepchildren, Toni Odum (Dwayne) and Ernest (Deborah) of Washington; her grandchildren, Solana Johnson, Isaac Johnson, Niya Wyatt, Nicolas Wyatt, Tavaris of Washington, Chandria Odum, Myles Odum, Daija Odum, Evan of Washington, Wallace Wyatt, III, Darius Wyatt, Maya Wyatt, Moriah Wyatt and Kenlandra Johnson of Manhattan, NY; her great grandchildren, Kaniah, Noah of Washington, Mya Scroggins of Atlanta, GA and Christian Johnson of Manhattan, NY; her aunt Gloria Wallace; her sisters, Linda Walker, Sandra Sims and Kim Ralston (Phillip) of Atlanta, GA; and her sister-in-law Maeola Pla. She is also survived by married to her husband for 44 years and her two children and grandchildren.
