With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marian Elisabeth Armitage (Key Largo, Florida), who passed away on February 7, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Marian Elisabeth departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Marian Elisabeth. Though Marian Elisabeth may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John V. Oles and Vera M. Oles (Wagner); her husband William Armitage; her son Larry Smorgala; and her siblings, Ruth, Phyllis and John.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Smorgala (Debbie) and Debbie Morelli; and her stepchildren, Bill Armitage (Rebecca) and Nancy Fisher (Dave). She is also survived by grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amedisys Hospice. Marian's spirit and her contributions to her community will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
