It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis Abel of Key Largo, Florida, born in Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on October 18, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobert Abel and Eunice Abel; and his son Dennis L. Abel, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Charlene; his son James L. Abel (Susie); his stepson Douglas Syphurs; and his sisters, Gail Greene (Al) and Sybil Huffman (Jack). He is also survived by five grandchildren, two great granddaughters, a soon to be expected great grandson.
