He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Murtha and James Murtha. He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Eugenia Mezzalingua (Dan), Suzanne McDevitt (Morgan), Emilia Murtha, William P. Murtha, Jr. (Ryan), Sloane, Julia, Daniel William, Sunny, Ruby, Michael and Hudson; his brother James; his cousin Kathy Killen (Jim); his goddaughter Lydia Reyes (Andrew); and also, Kathryn, Colleen and Maureen.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home (250 Center St, Jupiter, FL 33458). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Jude Catholic Church (204 US-1, Tequesta, FL 33469). A burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Riverside Memorial Park (19351 SE County Line Rd, Tequesta, FL 33469).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to America's VetDogs which trains and provides service dogs to veterans and first responders who have physical injuries or who are suffering from PTSD.
