He was predeceased by: his wife Ginny. He is survived by: his daughters, Christine Childress (David), Kim Bayless (Marc) and Katie Zaccagnino (Ben); and his grandchildren, Rick Childress (Mariana), Ryan Childress (Kelly), Kayla Fallon (Sean), Luke Brandofino (Shelbylyn), Sierra Brandofino, Angelina Zaccagnino and Amelia Zaccagnino.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Richard's name to St. Mark's Church in Palm Beach Gardens.
