She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Hummel and Pauline Hummel; her husband John Raymond Barry; and her brother Harold J. Hummel. She is survived by: her cousins, Mary Curley and Catherine Curley; her niece Elizabeth Hummel; her great-nieces and great-nephews, LeighAnn Johnson, Jennifer Person and William Mccartha; her nephew Robert Hummel; her great-nieces, Brenda Tevepaugh, Deborah Verhofstadt, Christina Hummel and Danielle Geaney; her great-nephew Donald Slater; her great-nieces, Melissa Schwager and Ada Schwager; her great-nephew Adam Schwager; and also Molora Hummel Schwager. She is also survived by 21 great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Evelyn's honor to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave, 17th floor, Chicago, IL 60601.
