He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles II and India Matthews Ahearn, II; his brother Sean "Sandy" Alexander Ahearn; his nephews, Kenneth Bryan, Kevin Bradley and Kristopher Brett Ahearn; his great-niece Brieana Ahearn; and his great-nephew Seth Lasater.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Fry Ahearn; his daughter Elizabeth India Ahearn; his brother Patrick Timothy "Tim" Ahearn; his sister-in-law Kay Davis Ahearn; his niece Kristen Brooke Lasater; and his great-nephews, Chase Lasater and Kaden Ahearn.
