Alvin Le Roy Hamilton Obituary
Alvin Le Roy Hamilton, 76, of Jupiter, FL passed away on Friday, March 22 at Trust Bridge Hospice in West Palm Beach, FL from brain cancer. Alvin or "Al' as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was born on December 12, 1942 in Utica, NY to the late Roy and Florence Hamilton. He was the third of four children. His siblings are; Wynett (deceased) , Kenneth, and Diane. He graduated from Clinton Central High School where he enjoyed participating in hockey, baseball, and football. Alvin married his high school sweetheart, the late Susan Marylin Venero, in August of 1962, and went on to have three children. He served in the United States Air Force from 1962-1966. He made his way to Florida where he served the community as a US postman for many years until his retirement in 1988. Alvin then married his wife, Rachel Verdolino, in May of 2003 and resided in Jupiter, FL. There along with his beloved wife, they attended St. Jude's Catholic Church in Tequesta, FL, and loved spending time with family. He was always laughing and wore a smile on his face. He was a loving and caring person, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, always thinking of others first.
Alvin leaves to cherish his memory his wife Rachel Hamilton; his children Steven, Stewart, Candice, Marc, and Robyn; his son in laws Antonio and Arthur; his daughter in laws Linda and Michelle; his grandchildren Stewart Jr., Kelli, Kyle, Samantha, Nicholas, Kaitlin, Chris H, Bianca, Christopher, Gianna, Drew, Cole; his siblings Kenneth and Diane; and a host of other family and friends.
A Wake and Rosary will be held at Allen J Harden Funeral Home in Mt, Dora on Thursday, March 28 2019. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be a funeral mass at Allen J Harden Funeral Home on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 1 p.m followed by the interment at Sorrento Cemetery in Sorrento, FL. A reception will follow interment at St. Thomas More Chapel at 550 Riverview Ave., Sanford, FL.
