He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jane Ames Burk and Thomas Henry Thurlow Sr.; his wife Sandy of Gainesville, Florida.; his children, Jacqui Thurlow-Lippisch (Ed), Jennifer Flaugh (Mike) and Todd Thurlow (Deanna); his grandchildren, Evie Flaugh, Austin Flaugh, Charlie Flaugh, Natalie Thurlow, Mary Thurlow and Julia Thurlow; and his sister Mary (Dale Hudson Sr.).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stuart Heritage Museum.
