With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Alan Birt of Jensen Beach, Florida, who passed away on October 8, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Franklin Birt and LaClair Jarrard Birt; his former wife Kathryn Swanson Berger; and his grandson Jesse Alan Marchant Birt. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Birt; his son Timothy Birt; his daughter-in-law Jamie Marchant of Auburn, AL; his stepson Christopher Thomas of Port St; and his nieces, Judy Pritchard and Sue Scott.
During his last few years, he enjoyed going to an Alzheimer's day care center calling it the "funny farm.".
