He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred A. Hammond and Margaret Hammond (Roth); his son Michael A. Hammond; his great grandchild Harrison Botta; and his siblings, Donald R. Hammond and Jean Peters.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Anderson Hammond; his sons, Mark Hammond (Deborah) of Stuart, Dale Hammond (Karen) of Jensen Beach, Daniel Hammond (Mary) of Port St and Scot Hammond of Salamanca, NY.; his brother James Hammond (Barbara) of Little Valley, NY; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Botta (Richard), David Hammond (Katie), Matthew Hammond (Rebecca), Ashley Hammond, Katie Arioli (Max), Lindsay Hammond and Cody Hammond; and his great grandchildren, Aubrey Hammond, Madelyn Hammond, Josh Hammond, Oliver Botta and Jaxson Howe.
