He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Sr. Bookholdt and Lillian Bookholdt; and his siblings, Joann, Charles John (Jack) and David.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Elizabeth Rebecca; his sons, Dewey (Lauri) of Jupiter, FL and Joseph of Chesterfield, NJ; and his grandchildren, Morgan, Clay Censits, Haley, Joseph and Leah Bookholdt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
