He was predeceased by: his former wife Barbara Faris-Smith. He is survived by: his son David Smith (Cara); his grandchildren, Eliya Smith of Hollywood, FL and Jesse Hodson-Smith (Laura) of North Carolina; his sister Sylvia Ladouceur-Stevens; his niece Bethany McMillan (Jerry) of St. Catharines; and also Jamie Smith of Florida.
