It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tolbert Carter of Jennings, Florida, who passed away on March 18, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Carter and Hulda Jane Carter (Belcher); his daughter Melissa Ann Carter; his siblings, Nelene Duty and Billy Gene Carter; his grandson Thomas Stevens; and his brother-in-law William Dillion.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara "Bobbie" Carter of Jennings, Florida; his sons, Jason Carter of Jennings and Eddie Carter of Akron, Ohio; his grandchildren, Eddie Carter, Jr., Hannah Carter, Amber Raylnn Carter, Brittany Galloway (Shawn), Dakota Stevens, Alyssa Carter, Jaidah Carter, Aiden Carter, Ashton Frederick, Abigail Frederick and Analise Frederick; his great grandchildren, Remi, Maliki and Ryland Galloway; his brother Howard Carter, Jr. Gilbert West (Freida); and his close friend Darlene Duty of Oceana.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Music Funeral Services - Valdosta (3831 N Valdosta Rd, Valdosta, GA 31602). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Music Funeral Services - Valdosta (3831 N Valdosta Rd, Valdosta, GA 31602). A burial was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at the Lake Park City Cemetery.
