It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Corbett Mathis of Jennings, Florida, who passed away on January 6, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Jacqueline McCullers Mathis; his parents, Mary Deas Mathis and Raymond Mathis; and his brothers, Raymond Mathis and Clifford Mathis.
He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline "Jackie" McCullers; his close friend Charlene Howell; his children, Jorrie Mathis (Nancy) of Jennings and Menieca Kennedy (Allen) of Jasper; his grandchildren, Tristan Mathis (Sarah), Lance Mathis, Nicole Parrish (Clay), Ashleigh Hart (Tyson), Alli Kennedy and Alden Walker (Jared); his great grandchildren, Millie, Archie Mathis, Clyde, Don Parrish, Kyler, Tynleigh Hart and Jacqueline Walker; his brother Worlie Mathis (LaVern) of Jacksonville; and his sister-in-law Barbara Peaden (Miles) of Live Oak. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
