She was predeceased by: her mother Dorothy Kinsey Butler; her husband Randall Carter; and her sister Linda Goolsby. She is survived by: her father Johnny Butler, Sr.; her sons, Chad Carter (Charla) of Bossier City, LA, Jason Carter of East Palatka, John Carter (Melissa) of Tallahassee and Jarrett Carter of Jennings; her siblings, Johnny Butler, Jr. (Pat) of Jennings and Barbara DeVane of Tallahassee; and her grandchildren, Seth Carter, Meagan Pittman, Jordan Carter, Emily Carter and Kate Carter.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jennings Community Church (1371 McCall St, Jennings, FL 32053). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Corinth Christian Academy (7042 SW 41st Ave, Jasper, FL 32052).
