He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Daniel and Bertha Mae Golden (Odom); his grandson Samuel M. Lansdon, II; his great great grandchild Angel Kate Cooper; and his brothers, Jamie Daniel Golden and Jesse Lee Golden.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Louise Golden (Hendricks); his daughters, Joyce Lansdon (Samuel), Rebecca Parkerson (James), Melanie Golden (Marty Vaughn) and Robin Golden; and his siblings, Joe Preston Golden (Eunice), Alton Ray Golden (Peggy) and Gladys Golden Rowell. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
