She was predeceased by: her husband James "Buddy" Wendell Burkett; her parents, Bernice Lee and Willie Monroe Kimmons; her siblings, Lendie Kimmons, Wadsworth, Betty Lee Evans, Bennie Kimmons, Willard Kimmons Jr. and JC Allman; and her son-in-law Rex Driver.

She is survived by: her children, Greg Kimmons (Kelly) and Patricia Driver (Mike Janes); her stepchildren, Jack Burkett and Jackie Acree (Justin); and her siblings, Willie Mae Holmes and Billie Kimmons. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family members and special friends.
