He was predeceased by: his parents, Aliston and Laura Ruth Gavin; his siblings, Clarence Ray Gavin, Mildred McKinley, Helen Paul, Aubrey Gavin and Leon Gavin; his nephews, Bruce Gavin, Johnny Kirkland, Teddy Kirkland and Jason Kirkland; and his niece Mandy Hudson Hobbs.
He is survived by: his daughter Shannon Gavin Cross; his grandchildren, Braden Cross (Sylvia), Kirsten Cross, Amber Cross and Jerrad Cross; his siblings, Glen Gavin (Sally), Mary Nell Applegate and Deborah Goodson (Kenny); and his aunt Mary Nell.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in his memory.
